Video CVs

I've been creating Video CVs since 2012. My first two were created using animation. Now, I present to you a CV project originally shot in 2023 but still very accurate for the 2025-2026 recruiting cycle. August of 2026 will be the end of my 10th and final year in Saudi.

2023 Creativity

Video editing has come a long way in the past few years. I am addicted to Macs and often used the native app called iMovie for editing.

I outgrew iMovie and needed more editing capabilities. I invested in the pro tool called Final Cut Pro. This video was created from iPhone video clips and a host of video and audio editing tools.

Green screen editing was something my teaching colleagues wanted to learn, so I set out learning so I could show them how to incorporate green screening in their classes.

2016 CV

Created while I was teaching in Switzerland, this video was my headline creation for the 2015-2016 recruiting fairs. The video was made with a new online tool called Animaker.

2013 CV

My first video was created while I was hiding at a friend's apartment in Caracas during Hugo Chavez's re-election in late 2012. There was a real threat of riots, so I stayed inside and played with a free trial of a new app called PowToons.
